Let’s face it: sometimes, “the human factor” screws things up. With #37, the neck was first made with Birdseye Maple stringers instead of the specified Pink Ivory stringers. Fast forward to completion of the body, and the pictures of the quilt maple top that had been communicated with the customer had not reflected the look of the actual top that ended up on it. Luckily, an immense amount of patience and understanding by the customer allowed us to work everything out, and allocate a new serial number for him. With a lesson learnt and better procedures put in place, #37 is a great guitar, which was brought to NAMM 2014 and sold to a Japanese customer there.
