The Boden CL7 is the signature model of Chris Letchford of Scale the Summit. With their fourth album, the Migration, being released in 2013, they have embarked on an extensive touring schedule both as a headlining and supporting. Notably, the summer of 2014 will bring a 35-date tour supporting Yes!
Born on October 7, 1984 in Houston, TX, Chris has quickly began his transition into an aspiring extended-range guitar layer. At the age of 8, he began to play music and over the years it matured into a serious affair. Chris has acquired over 6 years of private guitar lessons, which were followed by enrollment in the Musicians Institute located in Los Angeles, CA as a guitar major and in the GCA program. While in GCA, he learned how to construct and build his own custom, handmade guitars. He has also attended Berklee College of Music and Houston Community College as a music major. He is currently busy teaching, releasing instructional books and touring with his own band, Scale the Summit, signed with Prosthetic Records. Scale The Summit has had the pleasure of touring with Dream Theater, Zappa Plays Zappa, Cynic, Devin Townsend, Between The Buried and Me, Fair To Midland, Periphery, 3, and Protest The Hero, to name a few.
Note that the standard color scheme of the production model is blue with brushed chrome pickups.
