#39 – Daniel May

#39 – Daniel May

Sometimes timings just work out, although they seem to do nothing of the sort. Daniel had been waiting already for some time when we met at Frankfurt MusikMesse in 2013 to discuss in person. Seeing as there were a wealth of wood suppliers there, Daniel was able to pick out the lumber for his own top in person. Being the first ever burl top of this kind that we worked with, it took a few iterations of experimentation with the stain and finish until everyone was happy, and the timings ended up being that Daniel was able to pick up his completed guitar in person at Frankfurt MusikMesse 2014! The slightly longer scales that normal (as on the production models) provide even better sustain and higher tension, and with the Wenge neck through, this guitar sings like nothing else.
